This was a tree that was struck by lightning (at least it looked that way).  Pretty cool find on our hike.

I finished my submission for the Minimalism assignment on NSOP, here it is:

I went over to Stony Point in Minnesota for a sunset with Kris when we were up near Duluth for our Isle Royale trip.  I finally got around to working on the pictures from there and really liked this one.

Here’s a few other pics that I really like so far from Isle Royale NP.

It was great there, and I got a good chance to take a bunch of shots.  I was most excited to look at the pictures I took of the moose that we saw, here’s the first of those:

I’m headed off for two weeks.  I’m going to my grandma’s 90th birthday party at my parents place in duluth, then Kris and are are taking a week on Isle Royale NP of backpacking and camping.  It is going to be incredibly awesome I’m sure, we’re both really excited and ready to go.

I’ve been having a lot of fun this year taking shots like this:

I’ve been working third shift for the early part of the year, and also have been working on a photo a day project so far this year. I’m at 100% so far which has been fun, but challenging. Anyway, since I drive in to work at night, and I end up spending a bit of time here and there in the car playing with the camera, I’ve been able to experiment with different things. Its been lots of fun.
